Hotchkiss Police Department Positions

The Hotchkiss Police Department is currently accepting applications for a Police Officer.

The Town of Hotchkiss is accepting applications for the position of Police Officer. The Police Officer maintains the peace, security, and safety of the Town. The Police Officer protects life and property and manages conflict through the enforcement of applicable laws and municipal ordinances, and works with the community to resolve disputes, problems, and mutual concerns. The town of Hotchkiss values both community policing. An understanding of community policing in small communities will be helpful. Competitive salary range DOQ with excellent benefits. The Town of Hotchkiss offers a comprehensive benefits package, which includes 80% employer-paid health insurance for the employee and their dependents, paid vacation, 13 paid holidays, sick leave, and a 3% employer-paid retirement contribution. Eligible candidates will be considered from individuals who are currently Colorado Peace Officer Standard and Training (P.O.S.T.) certified or currently enrolled in a Colorado P.O.S.T. approved academy. Applications will also be considered from individuals who are presently P.O.S.T. approved in another state and have at least one year of employment with their current agency. Hotchkiss Public Works Positions

Hotchkiss Public Works is accepting applications for Class B Water and Class C Sanitation Licensed Operator.

The Town of Hotchkiss is now accepting applications for a full-time position with the Public Works Department.  Requirements for the job and applications are available on the website at townofhotchkiss.colorado.gov or may be picked up at the Hotchkiss Town Hall. Successful applicants must be able to pass pre-employment drug screening and background check, hold a Class B Water License and a Class C Sanitation License. Weekend Plant Duty is a requirement of all Public Works positions and Public Works is considered part of the emergency response team for the Town of Hotchkiss.  Employees must be able to accept on call status and respond within 20 minutes of Hotchkiss Town Hall, 276 West Main St. Hotchkiss, CO Compensation range is $22.00 an hour to $27.00 an hour and is based on experience.
