Hotchkiss Police Department is accepting applications for a Police Officer position. 

The Town of Hotchkiss is accepting applications for a Police Officer.  The Police Officer maintains the peace, security, and safety of the Town.  The Police Officer protects life and property and manages conflict through the enforcement of applicable laws and municipal ordinances; and works with the community to resolve conflicts, problems, and mutual concerns.  The Town of Hotchkiss values community policing as well as law enforcement activities.  An understanding of small community policing will be helpful.

Eligible candidates will be considered from individuals who are currently Colorado Peace Officer Standard and Training (P.O.S.T) certified or currently enrolled in a Colorado P.O.S.T. approved academy. We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Victim Advocate. As a Victim Advocate, you will provide crucial support and assistance to individuals who have been affected by crime, abuse, or trauma. Your primary role will be to advocate for the rights and needs of victims, offering emotional support, information, and guidance throughout the legal process. This is a part-time position with the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals in need.
